These are not rare or unusual processes. They are happening now, in every perceiving mind. What makes them interesting is that they are completely invisible to introspection โ discoverable only through their failures, through clever experimental design, or through cases where something goes wrong and the mechanism becomes visible by its absence.
Knowing about them doesn't let you feel them. The saccadic suppression still runs. The binding window still calibrates. The convexity prior still overrides stereopsis. The mechanisms exist at a level below where attention reaches.
